"My work emanates from an active dialog between the computer and myself. Simply stated, I write software that generates unique animations and compositions. I often focus on conjuring algorithms specifically to make art ad infinitum. The code can produce works akin to snowflakes, where no two versions are identical. In effect, I’m partially a critic and curator, living with the program I've written, watching it formulate and evolve very closely. My goal is to capture moments in time that are gloriously ethereal.I embrace chaos and chance. However, I orchestrate the complex visual symphony like a maestro. The visualization of IBM’s Watson and winning the Prix Ars Electronica’s Golden Nica are major highlights. Institutional exhibitions include the Tate Modern, the Design Museum London, le Centre Pompidou, the ICA London, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, MoMA PS1 New York, the Whitney, the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum."
